More Enoki mushrooms are being recalled due to potential listeria contamination, according to the latest mushroom recall from U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The California-based HH Fresh Trading Corp. recalled Taiwan Enoki mushrooms distributed in West Virginia to multiple retail store locations.
The affected mushrooms were sold on Aug. 20 and 23, with 240 cases allotted for each date.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
The affected mushrooms are in clear, plastic packaging with the barcode #4711498860019 on the back of the package.
The FDA performed routine testing on these mushrooms in October 2024 and found they were contaminated with listeria.
HH Fresh Trading Corp. has suspended production of the mushrooms. The company’s investigation into the incident alongside the FDA is ongoing.
The FDA urges consumers who purchased the contaminated mushrooms to return them to their place of purchase for a full refund. If they have any questions, consumers can call HH Fresh Trading Corp. at 1-262-365-9116 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT, Monday to Friday.
This is not the first time Enoki mushrooms have been recalled in the past few weeks. Mushroom products sold under the brand Enoki King were also recalled after testing found listeria contamination.
